Ziel der vorliegenden Studie war, in Anlehnung an das UTAUT-Technologieakzeptanzmodell von Venkatesh empirisch zu messen, ob Roboter als Gesprachspartner akzeptiert werden und ob Menschenahnlichkeit und Kommunikationsfahigkeit Einfluss auf die Gesprachsakzeptanz von Robotern haben. Es wurde eine experimentelle Online-Befragung mit n=783 zufallig gezogenen Studenten im Dezember 2009 durchgefuhrt, die per Zufallstrigger in zwei unterschiedlich manipulierte virtuelle Versuchsraume geleitet wurden. In der Experimentalgruppe wurde ein 50-Sekunden-Video mit dem kommunikationsfahigen, menschenahnlichen Roboter Actroid-DER2 gezeigt, und in der Kontrollgruppe wurde ein nicht kommunikationsfahiger Tierroboter Leonardo gezeigt. Es stellte sich heraus, dass Menschenahnlichkeit Einfluss auf die Kommunikationsbereitschaft sowie Kommunikationsfahigkeit Einfluss auf die Performance, den Aufwand, den sozialen Einfluss und die Bedingungen hatte. Allerdings konnte kein Zusammenhang zwischen der Kommunikationsfahigkeit und der Kommunikationsabsicht nachgewiesen werden. Die Gesprachsakzeptanz hangt somit nicht von der Kommunikationsfahigkeit und der Menschenahnlichkeit von Robotern ab. Fur 32,6 % der Befragten konnte der Einfluss folgender Variablen auf die Gesprachsakzeptanz gemessen werden: Sympathie, Kommunikationsbedingungen, Kommunikationsperformance und sozialer Einfluss.
